The role:

The Agricultural Science Intern will support our research and development efforts to create innovative agricultural solutions. You’ll work alongside our scientists and engineers, contributing to research projects, field trials, and data analysis.

This is primarily an on-site role due to the nature of the work however there is the opportunity for some hybrid work.

 

Key responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and execution of research projects and field trials.

  • Collect and analyse data on spray efficacy, soil conditions, and environmental factors.

  • Prepare reports and presentations on research findings.

  • Help with prototype and product assembly, conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of systems to ensure performance and reliability at our workshop and at test and customer vineyards.

  • Embrace continuous learning, foster a culture of curiosity and resilience, approaching challenges with humility and a problem-solving mindset.

  • Champion honesty and collaboration, contributing to an environment where feedback is welcomed and every team member feels valued.

 

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is currently pursuing or has recently completed a degree in Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.

  • Has a strong interest in sustainable agriculture and technology-driven solutions.

  • Demonstrates excellent analytical and research skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Has excellent communication skills, capable of documenting and presenting ideas clearly.

If you are successful at this stage, we'll arrange an initial phone/video call where one of the team will explain the position, introduce Cordon and get to know a little bit more about you (30 minutes).

 

Successful candidates at this stage will then be invited to an on-site interview, including hands-on activity, and presentation of a previously prepared task. They will also meet the rest of the team with tea/coffee (2.5 hours).
