About us:

Cordon is a pioneering agri-tech startup enabling cost effective, environmentally sensitive vineyard automation. Our mission is to revolutionise farming practices with usable, advanced, reliable technology. Our flagship product is a patent-pending smart precision sprayer combining atomisation, airflow with AI to save the planet from pesticide overapplication.

We are a small team of 10 with engineers across aerodynamics, electronics, motor controls, AI, and design engineering. We have raised substantial early stage funding from 5 leading venture capital funds.
 

The role:

The Head of Engineering

Location: Slough, England, United Kingdom (Flexibility for Remote Work)  

Employment Type: Full Time

  • Responsible for owning the technical vision, strategy and roadmap. 

  • Leading on technical decisions.

  • Act as a key spokesperson for Cordon’s technical achievements and ambitions, internally and externally.

If you are successful at this stage, we'll arrange an initial phone/video call where one of the team will explain the position, introduce Cordon and get to know a little bit more about you (30 minutes).

 

Successful candidates at this stage will then be invited to an on-site interview, including hands-on activity, and presentation of a previously prepared technical task. They will also meet the rest of the team with tea/coffee (2.5 hours).
