Our flagship product, a patent-pending smart precision sprayer, leverages sensors and control systems to minimise power usage and pesticide application, thereby drastically reducing costs and environmental impacts associated with traditional pesticide spraying.

The role:

As a Marketing and Community Building Intern at Cordon, you’ll have the opportunity to dive into various aspects of marketing, from social media and digital campaigns to community engagement initiatives. You’ll play a vital role in building and nurturing our community of farmers, tech enthusiasts, and sustainability advocates, helping to spread the word about our mission and products.

This is primarily an on-site role due to the nature of the work however there is the opportunity for some hybrid work.

 

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns that effectively communicate Cordon’s vision and product offerings.

  • Contribute to social media management and content creation, engaging with our community across platforms to build brand awareness and loyalty.

  • Support event planning and execution, including webinars, workshops, and community outreach programs, to foster a strong sense of community and collaboration.

  • Support leadership in formalising partnerships with key stakeholders and potential pilots.

  • Gather and analyse marketing data (campaign results, traffic, etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies.

  • Collaborate with the team to create promotional materials and ensure consistency in our brand messaging.

  • Embrace continuous learning, foster a culture of curiosity and resilience, approaching challenges with humility and a problem-solving mindset.

  • Champion honesty and collaboration, contributing to an environment where feedback is welcomed and every team member feels valued.

 

We're looking for someone who:
  • Embodies our core values of curiosity, problem solving, resilience, humility, emotional intelligence, and commitment to collaboration.

  • Is currently pursuing or has recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Business Administration or a related field.

  • Demonstrates strong organisational and communication skills.

  • Shows a keen interest in the startup ecosystem and sustainable technologies, particularly in the agri-tech sector.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to create engaging content.

  • Shows proficiency with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

  • Is creative, proactive, and eager to take on new challenges.

  • Has Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

If you are successful at this stage, we'll arrange an initial phone/video call where one of the team will explain the position, introduce Cordon and get to know a little bit more about you (30 minutes).

 

Successful candidates at this stage will then be invited to an on-site interview, including hands-on activity, and presentation of a previously prepared task. They will also meet the rest of the team with tea/coffee (2.5 hours).
