About Us

Cordon’s roots date back well before our formation as a company. In 2015 in south-west France, an abandoned vineyard called Domaine d’Audaux was re-planted by our CEO, Jamie Hutchinson. Like many vineyards striving to make good wines, all possible efforts were made to grow quality grapes and reflect the local terroir. Domaine d'Audaux was eventually farmed regeneratively following no-till practices and using geese to tend the rows. 

Like every vineyard, Domain d'Audaux needed to be sprayed. It was done with both frustration and some heartache, especially when the negative impact of copper to local biodiversity and soil structure became apparent through testing and lived experience. Something needed to be done to improve this.

Returning to the UK, Jamie met up with product management expert Annelise Brbora, and with her passion for delivering reliable products that customers really want, Cordon was born. 

Today we have a team of great people with deep experience across farming, computational fluid dynamics, robotics, artificial intelligence, embedded electronics and mechanical engineering. It is our mission to enable every fruit farmer to spray more kindly and more cost effectively.
